Tactics Meets Technology – The Key Factors

Map in the browser, your own TAK server, video from helmet, phone and drone and a digital situation log – the WebTAK tools bring everything that matters to the playing field. No special hardware required.

🗺️

TAK in the Browser

WebTAK runs as a web app on Android, iPhone and PC – map with MIL-STD-2525 symbols, markers, drawings and chat like in ATAK. No app installation needed.

🖥️

Your Own TAK Server in One File

WebTAK Server runs on Windows, Raspberry Pi, Linux and macOS – no database, no Docker. Setup in the browser, connect devices by QR code.

🎯

Works with ATAK, iTAK & WinTAK

Full compatibility with the Cursor on Target protocol. Positions, markers, chat and data packages flow between all TAK clients and WebTAK.

🔗

Link Servers

Federation via invite code between WebTAK Servers – also as chains or rings – and a bridge to OpenTAKServer, TAK Server and FreeTAKServer.

🎥

Video from Helmet, Phone & Drone

Phone camera, Bluetooth helmet camera, screen and DJI drone appear automatically as video feeds in ATAK, iTAK and WinTAK.

📷

Bluetooth Helmet Camera

An affordable ESP32-CAM becomes a helmet camera with the web flasher – Bluetooth only, no Wi-Fi, no pairing. The phone stays online and forwards the image.

👥

Access with Approval

Players request their TAK access themselves, the admin approves it and sets callsign, team and role. Login details, QR codes and guide are delivered automatically.

📋

Digital Situation Log

TSL documents radio traffic, reports and medical cases in real time – with a unit status board, medical panel and CSV export.

⚡

Offline & Field-Ready

Offline maps, an outbox for markers and chat and operation on the local network – usable on the playing field even without internet.

From Playing Field to HQ. One Toolbox.

WebTAK, WebTAK Server, helmet camera and TSL work hand in hand – from the first player with a phone to the command post with several linked servers.

01

Tactical Playing Field – Airsoft & MilSim

Every player with a phone becomes part of the situational picture: WebTAK in the browser or ATAK/iTAK, connected to your own WebTAK Server. The command post sees positions, markers and video live and keeps the situation log with TSL.

  • Real-time positions of all team members
  • Shared map for ATAK, iTAK, WinTAK and browser
  • Live video from helmet camera, phone and drone
  • Access via registration and approval
  • Link several playing fields via federation
  • Situation log and medical cases at the command post
02

Software & Documentation

  • WebTAK Server – TAK server in one file (Go)
  • ESP32-CAM firmware and web flasher

+

+
